Barb Antoskiewicz, DRE and Georgette Olson, Religious Education Secretary lead our ministry of Religious Education. They are joined by volunteer educators who help prepare public school children, grades 1-8, in learning faith formation. They prepare 2nd grade students for Holy Communion and 8th grade students for Confirmation. Each grade has a special religious theme: 1st Prayers/Jesus; 2nd 1st Reconciliation and Eucharist; 3rd 10 Commandments; 4th Jesus/Sacraments; 5th Mass, 6th Old Testament; 7th New Testament and 8th Confirmation/Church. Religious Education classes are held Sundays from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and Mondays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Volunteers serve as teachers and substitute teachers. Virtus training is required for all volunteers with this ministry.
