The maintenance committee volunteers help maintain
the building structures of St. Ann by doing
light construction and repairs at the school,
church and Parish office, and overseeing bigger
maintenance projects at these facilities.
They have meetings once a month to make up
their "to do" lists by identifying,
planning and prioritizing parish maintenance
issues and repair projects. They meet with Rev.
Mark Kalema and present him with projects and
costs so that he can present them to the Finance
Committee for approval. Sometimes they can accomplish
needed work with members of their team and other
volunteers but many times it is necessary to
obtain quotations from contractors and utilize
them. Examples are roof repair and heating/air
conditioning projects. Committee members oversee
these contracted projects to insure they are
completed as specified.
While Chuck Murach heads up this committee he
views the group as "team managed"
as anyone in the group can lead a project.
