Lectors at St. Ann Church are proclaimers of
the Word of God at Saturday/Sunday and Holy
Day Masses. They ask God to fill them with the
Holy Spirit as they proclaim the Bible Scriptures
with their goal being to enhance the experience
of the liturgy for the parishioners. Lectors
strive to help bring the printed word to life,
giving a voice to God's Word.
Debbie Bona is the leader of this ministry
whose lectors are scheduled to read one to four
times in a two month period. The schedules are
usually planned for two months at a time and
lectors can indicate dates they cannot minister,
and a preference of Mass times. Lectors meet
four times a year as a ministry and new lectors
must attend a training. Parishioners need to
be high school aged or older to join this ministry.
